Mindset, resilience, and practical strategies for vets who want to stay in the job without feeling overwhelmed

A day to reset, refocus, and learn the skills vet school didn’t teach you about managing stress, uncertainty, and change.

Thrive In Equine Practice

EVERYTHING VET SCHOOL DIDN'T TEACH YOU

FRIDAY 16TH MAY 2025 9.30-5pm

READING - BERKSHIRE

It's ok if you're finding day to day vet life a challenge - you are not alone

This is exactly the reason behind

'THRIVE in Equine Practice' ....

It's everything that vet school didn't teach you....

Right now life is hard as an equine vet.

The industry is under fire in the media, clients are under pressure, and the industry is in crisis, with more and more vets leaving the profession.

Meanwhile you are more stretched than ever, trying your best to do your job and help horses.

Come and learn the skills that really will make a difference to both your clinical work and your personal life.

It's time to thrive, not simply survive as an equine vet.

This day is for you if ...

  • You’re a senior vet trying to support struggling colleagues but no one ever prepared you for this role.

Managing cases is one thing, but managing people and their emotions is something else entirely.

  • You trained during Covid and feel like you missed out on crucial hands-on experience.

You’re competent, but the lack of in-person training makes you second-guess yourself, and you’re worried about being behind.

  • You’re struggling to switch off from work, even on your days off.

The cases stay in your head, the stress follows you home, and you’re constantly carrying the emotional weight of the job.

  • You feel like the industry is changing so fast, and you’re not sure where you fit anymore.

The pressure is increasing, and clients are becoming more demanding, it’s a lot to handle.

  • You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering how long you can keep going at this pace.

You love the job, but it’s starting to feel unsustainable, and you don’t know what needs to change.

  • You want to keep working as a vet, but not like this.

You need a way to manage the workload, the pressure, and the expectations without it draining you completely.

What to expect from the day...

#1 World Class Content

Equine practitioners and vets choose to work with Nicola and Kate because of their content.

This isn't your typical CPD day. Where you learn some new concepts, feel motivated but the excitement wears off the next day. It's a full day of ACTIONABLE steps, that have been tried and tested, and work to bring about change.

There's no - one size fits all approach to thrive- it's all about giving you tools and options that suit you. You as a person, your ways of working and your clinical set up.

#2 Support After The Event

It's not just what you learn on the day that matters - it's what you do with the content, and the changes that you implement that make the difference.

Unlike conferences, congresses and other training days the buzz won't stop at the end of the day.

Instead you'll be given access to online resources PLUS a month of support (via Voxer which is a bit like Whatsapp) to help you action the changes that will help you to thrive in practice.

The magic happens when you start living with the tools that you will learn on the day. Changing habits, thought patterns, behaviours and your environment to make you the best equine vet you can be.

#3 Networking & 'Ah-Ha' Moments

You'll be spending the day with other vets, just like you. Those who are ready for change, for themselves and for the industry.

This isn't your standard training day with stale biscuits and lots of boring power points.

Expect energy, lightbulb moments and connection.

This is the place to be for vets who want to look after themselves and be the best vet they can be in 2025.

Connections will be formed, and friendships will be made with access to long lasting support.
